8-bit ISA card that fills any 8088 PC to the max, and then some!
This updated version can be plugged onto Monotech XT-IDE Deluxe v1.1 cards, combining the two to save an ISA slot - useful for machines with a limited number of ISA slots such as IBM 5150.
Supports machines with zero RAM.
Supports IBM 5150 with onboard 64K or 256K.
Supports any XT with any amount of RAM in 64K chunks (such as 128K, 192K, 256K, etc).
Put RAM at any location in memory, in 64K blocks.
Put RAM in unused upper memory, and use USE!UMBS driver in DOS to free up conventional memory.
Supports IBM XT Slot-8 (5155 and 5160)
ONLY the MicroRAM card is included. The photo showing it attached to a Monotech XT-IDE Deluxe is just for demonstration purposes.
This will work in most 8088 PCs, but there may be a small number that it isn't compatible with.
Many motherboards will require you to fill their onboard RAM sockets before using a card like this. If you need chips to fill the onboard sockets, I have those too.
It may work in some 8086 and 286 PCs, but will have a large speed loss so it's not recommended for these machines.
Some tested machines:
- IBM 5150/5155/5160
- Compaq Portable
- NCR PC4i
USE!UMBS Driver Here
Note: Chips may differ from the photo, depending on board revision in stock, which depends on worldwide chip stock.
